Over the years,
Tieng Adhola Cultural Institution (TACI) together
with its development arm
Tieng Adhola Development Foundation (TADEFO) has
implemented initiatives that have strengthened community unity,
improved social wellbeing, and supported sustainable development.
Through partnerships with government institutions, development
partners, and community leaders, the institution has made
significant progress in areas including cultural preservation,
health awareness, education support, and community empowerment.

Community Unity and Institutional Development
Building a solid foundation for the Jopadhola people through institutional growth and cultural pride.
- A united community of the Jopadhola as a people
- Established a voice for Jopadhola [Rock City radio]
- Fast tracking of AWUSTT
- Developed guidelines on Family and Gender relations shared by other cultural institutions
- Developed an orthography of Dhopadhola through the language board
- Initiated construction of Padhola palace in Nyangole
- Established strong networks regionally, nationally and globally
- Steered the forum of Traditional Leaders of Africa COTLA Uganda since 2023
Health Awareness and Social Transformation
The institution has mobilized communities to participate in important public health programmes and social initiatives including:
- Mobilised the Jopadhola to embrace malaria and yellow fever vaccines
- Mobilized the Jopadhola to fight against HIV/AIDS
- Mobilised, sensitized and trained against SGBV/GBV/VAWG
- Organized health camps at Panyangasi Health Centre III
These initiatives have contributed to improved health awareness and stronger community engagement.
Economic Empowerment and Livelihood Development
The institution has supported community livelihoods and economic transformation through initiatives such as:
- Mobilized Jopadhola for coffee value chain
- Started a model village at Kidera/Panyangasi parish
These initiatives support income generation and promote sustainable economic development within the community.
Education and Youth Empowerment
The institution has supported education and youth empowerment initiatives including:
- Secured scholarships through the late Adha Adhola Cecilia Owor Fund
- Organised successfully the silver jubilee Coronation anniversary
These initiatives contribute to strengthening opportunities for education and leadership development among young people.

Family Guidelines
Dissemination of Guidelines on Family and Gender Relations to reduce GBV.
Radio Programs
Radio programmes on various transformative topics on Rock City radio 98.4 fm.
Coffee Training
Mobilization and training of farmers on coffee value chain.
School Sensitization
In school sensitization on Sexual Based Violence and positive cultural values.
Model Villages
Establishment and empowerment of model villages for holistic development.
Ethical Values
Dissemination of ethical cultural and national values in communities.
